Polenz Motorsports Announces 2011 Partnerships

Polenz Motorsports is proud to announce its 2011 racing partnership with On the Run convenience stores. On the Run’s proprietary energy drink GAZZU will become the primary sponsor on the #33 Late Model Chevy driven by David Polenz with On the Run and Sun Drop Citrus Soda as secondary sponsors. This partnership will allow David to return to the famed Old Dominion Speedway in Manassas, Virginia for the full 2011 racing schedule, as well as racing a select schedule of races in Southern Virginia and South Carolina. David will be making several appearances with his #33 GAZZU Late Model Chevy at On the Run convenience stores during the season and will have FREE GAZZU Energy drinks for all fans and customers to sample. We want everyone to visit David after the races at Old Dominion Speedway as well and get your FREE Gazzu Energy Drink compliments of On the Run convenience stores. On those “special” nights we want all our fans to join us in giving David a GAZZU shower – in victory lane.  

Along with this partnership David and his team will be welcoming back the majority of it’s sponsors from last year, Sheehy Auto Stores, Everitt Equipment, Mt. Salem Electric, County Line Fuel, Xtreme Graphics, Austin Legends, Carver’s NAPA of Flemington, Dave Bond’s Real Country, The Lawrence Family, and Bruce and Debbie Hirt.

At 19 years old David is entering his 13^th season of racing.  He has raced in a variety of motor sports series from Quarter Midgets and Go-karts to Legends Cars and Late Models, and he has been very successful winning 69 races and several Championships. This will be his third year in the NASCAR Whelen Asphalt Late Model Series bringing with him two consecutive 2^nd place points finishes at Old Dominion Speedway. He has made it to victory lane several times in the Late Model Series and hopes to do so again in 2011.

The Family owned Late Model will continue to be prepared by Dave Moon of Moon Racing Enterprises. Moon Racing will also be preparing a second car for David to race in the select schedule of races in southern VA and SC. Along with Moon racing all of the race day crew will remain the same, Jeff Polenz, Crew Chief, Terry Polenz Timing and Tire Temps, Scotty Gore Spotter, Brian and Brandi Grupe, Ryan Polenz and Jessie Polenz crew members.
